New Major Works for 2008/2009

The Best Western Livermead Cliff Hotel in Torquay has completed it's upgrading of all it's Fire Precaution systems and now has Fire Detection in every Hotel Bedroom and all areas of the Hotel. All work was completed in January 2008. The safety of all our Hotel guests is paramount and we would like to thank Devon and Cornwall Fire Brigade for all their help.

Also started in October 2008 was the commencement for the building of the new Riviera Suite and Riviera Sun Terrace providing the very best views in Torbay. Completion May 2009.

New Reception and Foyer, completed February 2009.

Lounge Facelift completed February 9th 2009.

This work is well underway with the upgrading of the Squash Court, Gym, Sauna and Livermead House Swimming Pool. All these facilities are available to all Guests staying at the Best Western Livermead Cliff Hotel.

The Oceanic Restaurant

at the Best Western Livermead Cliff Hotel has been completely refurbished. New Chairs, Curtains, Carpet and much, much more has transformed the Restaurant. There are also 30% less tables than before, so a spacious dining experience can now be enjoyed.

Ongoing Bedroom Refurbishment

Aproximately 70% of all rooms have now had Refurbishment carried out and the AA Quality Rating is now one of Torquay's Highest with a 71% Quality Rating.

Best Western, AA & Visit Britain Accreditation.

The Best Western Livermead Cliff Hotel has now been awarded the Visit Britain Inspected seal of approval after many years without it and had it's first inspection. Visit Britain (previously The English Tourism Council) is the main Inspectorate of Hotels alongside the AA & ofcourse the Best Western stamp of excellence.

The New Perry Suite has been named after the former Family who owned the Livermead Hotels for over thirty years, the New Suite is now completed and available to book.

This comprises of a Master Bedroom, Lounge area and Mosaic Bathroom.
